It goes without saying that we’ll be following all provincial health guidelines including social distancing, mask use, vaccination requirements and capacity limits.
Here’s what we can tell you about SecTor 2021 with a fair level of confidence.
SecTor 2021 has been planned and ticket priced, as a “hybrid event” from the beginning. Our intention has been to get you every penny of value from the virtual event so that you can buy your ticket with confidence and then provide you as robust of an in-person experience as is safe and reasonable on November 3-4, 2021.
From the physical event, you can expect a complete exhibit hall experience (if we can go shopping safely, we can certainly learn about security solutions safely) and some of your favorite activities such as the IoT Hacking Village and Lockpick Village. The first 1,000 conference attendees to arrive on the Wednesday will even get their own lockpick kits so you won’t have to worry about sharing!
As for the in-person breakout sessions, we won’t be able to run our usual nine tracks. It just isn’t possible to bring all those speakers into the country this year. That said, you can still expect six to seven tracks of in-person content. Remember, it will all be available on the digital platform for 90 days so there’s lots of time to see everything!
The other difference this year will be the Keynotes. These will be streamed to both virtual and physical attendees, but the usual sitting together and eating breakfast and lunch during the Keynote isn’t feasible and the ticket price reflects this.
From the virtual event, you can expect a complete experience with sponsor virtual booths, contests and all the high-quality educational content you have come to expect when attending SecTor. All sessions will be presented on the virtual platform and available to all Full Conference Pass holders for 90 days, giving you plenty of time to watch every session. No more deciding which session to attend and which to miss!
More information about this year’s event is available on our FAQ. Hopefully this helps you understand what to expect and we look forward to seeing you both virtually and physically at this year’s SecTor!
