Manon Gaudet is Assistant Director Aviation Cyber Security, Operations, Safety and Security division at IATA, headquarters in Montreal. In her role, Manon leads and support IATA’s international efforts over Aviation Cyber Security challenges. She is Secretariat of the Cyber Management Working Group with airlines from across the world, and of the IATA-ICCAIA Restricted FORUM where IATA members and OEMs take part in discussions over cyber risks and information exchange. She is also an IATA Aviation Cyber Security instructor. She actively participates in the international regulatory strategy of civil aviation, by being part of the different groups within ICAO, EASA ESCP, Eurocae/RTCA and others, developing standards and recommended practices. Manon’s experience comes from the world of research and applied cyber security, as she built and led the cyber security research team for the National Research Centre Canada NRCC. She is also an advisor to executives in the sector. She advised and participated in numerous projects for critical infrastructures with gov, academia and private sector in the Financial, GPS and Energy/SCADA industry. She is the co-founder of In-Sec-M, a Canadian wide cyber security innovation cluster, now a Centre of Excellence in Quebec/Canada. She is also part of the Board of Directors of the CRIAQ. Manon holds a CISSP and a SANS GIAC-GDED cyber security certifications. She is an ISACA member, and she also holds a Cyber-Investigation Certificate from Polytechnique, as well as a bachelor’s degree from University of Montreal in Computer Science.
