The Civil Aviation sector is transforming itself to the next generation of digital technologies that will thrust it to the next stage of autonomous systems onboard aircrafts, including 5G service in the cabin, preventive maintenance, etc. Now that we are here, it’s time to perform not only the safety of the flight but security of the flight as well. How does one perform a risk assessment in this highly regulated ecosystem with critical safety requirements, while the supply chain is ever growing complexity and yet, where all is interdependent?

This session will express the challenges of Risk Assessment of the Supply Chain of Airlines/Operators, from Original Manufacturer Equipment/Suppliers to the hundreds of suppliers, as well as the need for sharing knowledge and information over risks. The audience will go back with more information on cyber security in context of safety and criteria used in a risk assessment where safety is an essential requirement, and some elements to avoid.
