Cybersecurity issues are plaguing organizations large and small today, and not only due to technical issues. With the wide variety of tools available to cybercriminals, there is a significant need to introduce more qualified defenders to level the playing field. However, this is far from reality due to a well-documented skills gap – a problem that many understand but few know how to solve. In this presentation, we will discuss techniques for building a more inclusive security community and addressing the skills gap by attracting candidates from a wider, more diverse talent pool.
