The Digital Revolution is enabling business to provide their customers with new, innovative products and services, thus exposing corporate networks and data to greater risks from cyber threats. These threats are increasingly sophisticated. Existing firewall strategies combined with old fashioned mentality are no longer are able to offer business the security and protection they need. As organizations start moving towards Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Cloud Computing and BYOD era, typical enterprise threat analysis focuses on network security, but lacks awareness and in-depth content knowledge of data delivered over REST, XML, JSON or SOAP formats. As such, during this session, Jason Macy will discuss the differences between SOA/XML Gateway and a Web Application Firewall to explore and learn counter-measure techniques each organization should take in order to keep its valuable data and back end systems safe and secure.
