By aggregating and creating new dictionaries and manipulating them to guess plaintext and hashed passwords in high profile password exposures, I’ll demonstrate which dictionary attacks are the most effective. I will also demonstrate the building of passphrase dictionaries, an analysis of their effectiveness, and demonstrate a tool for building passphrase dictionaries. The password and passphrase cracking will be performed using Amazon EC2.
